Fat occurs especially around the belly and waist. Abdominoplasty techniques can be applied to patient in order to solve such problems in the abdominal region. In the abdominal stretching process (tummy-tuck), the excess fat is removed from the whole abdomen and waist area, the excess skin under the navel is removed and the problematic abdominal muscles are repaired.

First, in the abdominoplasty procedure, liposuction is applied to the whole abdomen and waist. Next, a long incision is made at the bottom of the abdomen so as to remain in the underwear. Abdominal skin is removed to the rib cage, belly button is separated from the skin, loose abdominal muscles are sutured together tightening the abdominal wall. After this, the entire skin under the navel is removed. The upper skin is pulled down and a new slot is opened for the navel. After full abdominal stretching (abdominoplasty procedure - tummy tuck), the upper and lower parts of the belly button are stretched, the waist is thinner, the abdominal wall is stretched and the belly button becomes vertical and young.

Abdominoplasty surgery is especially useful for women who have given birth several times, have cracks in the abdominal skin, sagging and weakened abdominal muscles. It is useful for the women who will give birth to postpone this operation after the birth. Please take note that; especially if you smoke, you should take a break until 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after this surgery.

Partial Abdominal Stretching (Mini Abdominoplasty)

Partial abdominal stretching is a good option in patients with abdominal fat, skin too loose to liposuction but taut enough to require full abdominal stretching. Partial abdominal stretching is a preferred method in patients who are not overweight due to shorter scarring and faster postoperative recovery. In partial abdominal stretching, liposuction is applied to the whole abdomen and waist area, excess skin is removed from under the navel, and loose abdominal muscles are tightened. In partial abdominal stretching, the incision line is shorter and the navel position is not changed. The procedures are more limited than full abdominal stretching and the healing process is faster.
